J - I have seen that blog, but haven't read the book. I plan on reading it sometime soon though :) Thanks for your comment. I think I'll do just as you suggested... post what I won't be able to do and see if anyone else out there is in that region and could report back to us.

Kate - You should join in on the fun! Wasn't this issue a great one? If you know of any Food bloggers out there that would like to do it too, that would be great. It could be a great project for all of us :)

Wow.....this is SO weird because I was JUST reading the new F&W lat night before bed but the same thought occured to me too. I thought.....hmmm, maybe not all the cocktails since I am not much of a drinker, and of course I am not planning on going to Paris anytime soon so I can't go to that restaurant, but I bet I can manage some of the foods, and wouldn't you know it? A local farmers market made the list! And I have been there, so it's kinda like a start!

Way cool.....think any other bloggers want to jump in on the fun?!

I'm not a big fan of the key lime, but that steak looks fab, and I do like Food and Wine. :)

I like your idea of trying to taste as many of the 100 things. You should post the ones you can't try on your blog (as well as the ones you do), and we can look and see if we live in that region, and report back to you. :)

Somehow the idea reminds me of Julie and Julia. Did you read that? A woman blogged about how she made every recipe in the book, "A French Chef" (I think that's what it was titled) by Julia Childs. I have it, and it's next in line for me to read. (there's a book based on the blog).
