Beyond the instructions on the cake box, I only added 1/4 tsp peppermint extract to a dark chocolate cake mix. I used cream cheese frosting and added 1 pkg of Andes Creme de Menthe Baking Chips to the cake mix before rolling into balls. They turned out wonderful!!
