I finally purchased this book for my iPad, I made the recipe today... do you know if instead of making a "peel" for the bread, one could just use parchment paper and transfer the bread to the stone in the oven that way? Thanks for sharing this book - I am so looking forward to seeing how the bread turns out!

LOVE this cookbook and this bread. Two Christmas's ago, my husband was bored as we visited my parents. He picked up this recipe; asked me if I've ever made bread, ( "No") and proceeded to mix up a batch. Two years, 10 pounds, and many, many trips to buy flour later, he has become known for this wonderful bread. He often makes it as a gift for friends, anyone ill, and has taught many other non-kitchen husbands how to make it also! It is easy, it is wonderful and it is YUMMY! ( Just an FYI... I still have not made it myself yet :) Hubby loves the recognition, and I am happy for him! )
