I love your philosophy on kid-friendly. When the day comes that I have my own to cook for, I am definitely going to treat them that way. Great recipe too!

You are so funny. I do the same thing with my chiluns. People make fun of me more my kids favorite foods being things that involve Pesto or Beschemel sauce or prawns at the ripe old age of two, but I think it is important that they eat what is being served rather than catered to as well, it just makes sense. And unlike you, my kids do STARVE if they don't want to eat dinner! I know it is tasty and healthy, and if they don't want to eat it, they must not be hungry.

I've seen too many of my friends drive a half-hour to the OTHER wal-mart that only has this flavor or that flavor of something that their kids MUST have... or going through night after night of it being a fight because they didn't start it off when they were young and now the kids are used to getting their way with food. I just don't have the time or patience!

Anyway, I reread your ice cream post from last month, and for one thing -did I forget to comment on how HILARIOUS it was? And thanks for the shout-out on the fried ice cream -it's really simple but really, really good! I didn't notice it before!
