My husband and I have been making this for months now. I love it! Since there’s only two of us, we freeze half the yield. It freezes and reheats amazingly. I take leftovers for lunch for a few days and it’s one of the only leftover meals I actually enjoy taking to work! My husband has made a few times with a Cajun kick, adding Cajun spices and okra instead of the beans. Also delicious. I like to add some red chile powder to it on occasion. We’ve added spinach as well. It’s such a versatile recipe and a great canvas to a ton of flavors. Definitely one of our favorite meals. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world!!
