Sorry your day went all wacky! This had me cracking up out loud! I wonder--does Kelly have any shoes with buckles? (Maybe she's been practicing?) How on earth did that little toot free herself?!
And when did five-year-olds become so conversant (is that the right word? She'd probably know!)?!?!
Hope li'l Jacob is feeling better (not to mention you for having such a trying day!!!).

Mom – Thanks for the vote of confidence, which I would only expect since you are my mom 🙂 I’ve come a long way since Mrs Callahan’s third grade class, but I’m no where near the book writing league.

KB – I hope that little brat of a 5 year old remembers this moment, 25 years down the road when someone in the store glares at her for having a crying baby 🙂

Waterfall – OH… that would have been golden.. Jacob puking on HER! Imagine her face then. I think I’ll just re-write the story in my head and pretend it happened that way 🙂

Diamond – Two days later, I can actually say that it was funny. I wouldn’t want to do that day again, but can now appreciate the humor 🙂

How funny! Yes, I realize it wasn’t funny at the time, but retrospect is kind, isn’t it? Days like that surely do make you thankful you don’t have more kids! Nice writing. I agree..we would love to have a book!

Oh! That 5 year old! Is there nothing in the world as annoying as one of those tiny know-it-alls? And their parents always seem to be smiling in the background, "Isn't she so cute?"
In fiction, Jacob should have turned and thrown up all over her, then you all could have departed in a blaze of glory.
