A spicy kicked up fire roasted Mac and Cheese recipe featuring Cabot Creamery’s new shredded cheeses.

I have been so excited to share this recipe with you for quite some time. I’m going to say, testing this recipe over the past month is the reason I’m not totally beach bod ready this season…but I’ll also share that it’s been totally worth it. Cabot Creamery, my favorite dairy company, recently introduced new shredded varieties of their cheeses and I’ve been ALL IN. They have 15 new shredded cheese varieties, including my favorites “Fiery Jack”, “Two State Farmers”, and “Rustic Pizza”.

If you follow me on Instagram then you’ve probably noticed that Cabot’s Fiery Jack shredded cheese has been making it’s appearance in many of my meals lately. I can’t get enough of this blend of Habanero Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. It adds the perfect spiced up kick to burgers, pasta and more!…

Our new favorite chili recipe, made with three different varieties of Bush’s Reduced Sodium Beans.

I’ve always been of the belief that chili was chili and that it was hard to make a chili absolutely more outstanding than the next. Because of that (now I know) misguided belief, I rarely switched things up when we had chili. I would follow my old standby recipe and serve it up as is.

Luckily I was recently working with a client on photographing some various chili, and had the opportunity to try a number of different kinds of chili. All I can tell you is, boy I have been missing out all this time! I’ve always liked chili, but now I have to say I really really like chili. …

You can tell by the different soup recipes I’ve posted on Dine & Dish throughout the years that I turn to soup for comfort. My mentality has always been the creamier, the heartier, the cheesier, the better! Why waste time and calories on a “healthy” soup? Surely they don’t taste as good as a big, steaming bowl of, let’s say, baked potato soup?

Then I met Sarah Jenks and started going through the Live More Weigh Less Mastery program, and began to really understand my not so great relationship with food. I’m discovering that the decisions I make every day with some of my less than stellar food choices are going to be really hard habits to break. But, I’m working on it…and with the artillery of information Sarah is sharing, I’m really starting to break through some life long barriers and am changing my relationship with food. I leaned over her bed, late at night, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. As I did, one of my tears fell onto her face, falling down into her wild and curly hair.

I love this girl so, so much I feel my heart physically swelling at the sight of her, but I don’t get her and I don’t know how to get her.

She could easily be described as sweet and kind… but that sweet demeanor can turn on a dime. One moment happy, cuddly and cheerful… the next in a fit of emotion about something small, like the taste of her toothpaste. Even if it the culprit of the fit seems trivial, her pain over it is obvious. She feels so deeply, so loudly, every emotion she has. Whether happy or sad, she feels in extremes….

I’m sharing a very special recipe with you today. I told you about my mom’s recipe for Spaghetti and Meatballs a few weeks ago. Her homemade Chicken and Noodle recipe is the other meal that feels like home. It’s one of those that I don’t remember loving as much growing up, but when I’m having one of those days that I want my “mommy” it is the food that I want for comfort… You know, ladies, what kind of day I’m talking about? When you want to crawl in bed under your favorite blanket, give up your motherhood responsibilities for the day and have your mom take care of you? This meal is the be all and end all of comfort food….

Thanksgiving…what does it mean to you? I admit, I try to have an attitude of gratitude each day of my life, but honestly..sometimes when you are knee deep in a 4 year old having a fit about not wanting to brush her teeth, an 8 year old giving you drama that he gets treated unfairly because he’s the only boy in the house, a 6 year old who enjoys being the martyr so much that she tattles on everyone and a 1 year old who thinks that screaming is the best form of communication, my ever present attitude of thankfulness kind of goes out the window….
