A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to be a guest of HGTV’s on the island of St. Simon’s Georgia to visit the stunning HGTV Dream Home 2017. As a fan of the HGTV Dream Home since its inception this opportunity was an absolute dream come true! The HGTV Dream Home is a beautiful, home that blends in well with it’s surroundings. It has a subtle, understated beauty that makes it feel warm and inviting, yet elegant and very special at the same time. I’m a crafty girl wannabe. I have been that person who has an arsenal of scrapbook supplies, but never scrapbooks. I have paint brushes and ribbon and buttons and mason jars and whatever the hot new crafty thing is. The problem is that I don’t make time to be crafty and I really don’t have the craftiest skill set out there.

That is why I LOVE the Silhouette Cameo and Portrait and their Designer Edition Software! Although I’ve discovered there is a learning curve to using it (my hopeful first project with it was a bit too ambitious) I’m excited at how easy these products are to use…and they make this crafty girl wannabe actually seem like she’s a bit crafty!

I created a resume for my post-college job search… 20 years later, that is the only resume for myself I’ve ever created. Since finding my first job (which ironically was in recruiting – where I helped others create resumes and find jobs) I have progressed through my career(s) based on referrals and word of mouth alone. Word of mouth is a powerful thing… if I know someone has been extremely happy utilizing a service, site or employee I am that much more likely to use them, aren’t you?

I thought it would be fun to share a couple recommendations of people / services I’ve been very happy with lately… just in case you might be looking for someone to provide a similar service!
