<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-12624" src="https://www.dineanddish.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Hero-Sandwich-1-Blog.jpg" alt="Hero Sub Sandwich recipe with super simple sauce. This is a great game day idea for a crowd!
Can we talk about bologna? We can? Good. I have to get something off my chest. So…I love bologna.

Bologna seems to fall into 3 categories. 1 – people who love it. 2 – people who hate it. 3 – people who just want to ask you “do you know what part of the pig bologna comes from?”. For the record, I don’t want to know, but thank you.

I don’t love bologna in an eat it every day kind of way. I love bologna in a nostalgic, sandwich from my childhood on Wonder bread and American cheese kind of way. I remember specific events that happened in my life and when I think back I was often holding a smooshed bologna and cheese sandwich on white bread in my hands. We even had a fried bologna and cheese type sandwich on our school lunch menu. Can you imagine Michelle Obama allowing that now?…

I have always told people that Jessica is one of the hardest working bloggers I know. Since the moment she typed her first word on her blog, that girl has been working tirelessly to bring her faithful followers the most creative recipes around. She has always been someone I really admire for her work ethic and her commitment to stay true to who she is no matter what the rest of the blogosphere is doing. She does her own thing, beats her own drum, and does it so well. I’m really proud to be able to call Jessica a friend and someone I can get real with when I’m overwhelmed by the industry we’re in. …

Pulled Pork takes center stage in this Buffalo Pulled Pork Nachos Recipe!

I can’t think about Nachos without thinking about this joke a man recorded and illustrated after his wife had a little too much wine and told it to him. If you haven’t watched it, do it… I crack up every, single time!

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s talk Nachos!

So you all know that famous Buffalo Chicken Dip that is the first thing to disappear at book club and football game parties? It’s so good, right? Well, I decided that I didn’t think it was fair that chicken got to have all the glory in that recipe. How about pork? Why couldn’t I use some of that amazing Slow Cooker Pulled Pork (recipe here) I made the other day in the famous Buffalo Chicken Dip? Then, why couldn’t I just turn the whole sha-bang into Nachos? Heck yeah! …

When I say “Game Day” you all know what I mean, right? It’s football time!!

Game day extends past one day at our house to pretty much any day football is on. Some days friends or family join us in front of the TV (us meaning my husband and son) other days its just us. Either way, the best part about game day for me is the food!

You know who makes game day food pretty great? Alexia foods. Remember them? I worked with Alexia last year on a recipe challenge to create a new fry flavor. I’m excited to share that I’m working with them again and will be using some of their products over the next several months to make meal time and game time easier!

(In addition to their popular varieties of fries, Alexia also has a great lineup of appetizers and artisan breads. Make sure to check out all their products on their webpage!)

Things are always a little nutty around our house and because of that, I am a huge fan of products that can make my life a little easier. For our most recent game day watching, I used Alexia Sweet Potato bites to re-invent sweet potato casserole, in a bite sized form. Super simple to make and a delicious appetizer to pass around during the game, Sweet Potato Casserole Bites are a fun bite sized app sure to be a hit with game day fans.

Here’s a little video and the recipe is below, so I hope you’ll check it out. Before that though, I have a great giveaway going on from Alexia that I think you’ll love.
