I’m also really proud of this Pottery Barn Inspired Rustic Holiday sign my friend Heatherand I made using the Silhouette Cameo! I did the painting (detailed below) and Heather took care of creating a festive stencil on the Cameo. Head over to Heather’s blog for complete details on how she made the template to use for our sign. I am really proud of how they turned out! And compared to the $129 price tag from Pottery Barn I’ll take our roughly $50 sign any day!

I know it’s way too early to start talking the holidays, but if you are thinking of making homemade gifts for your friends and family this year, NOW is the time to get a move on. I’m sorry to rush you, but if you are anything like me you have grand plans for a homemade holiday and then December comes around and you realize you have ZERO time to be able to create something.

This is my first year owning a Silhouette Cameo, and I’ll be honest with you… I’m still learning how to use it, however, I hope by the time Christmas rolls around I’ll have some mad Cameo skills and will be able to rock out some awesome gifts for friends and family! Let’s Get Crafty! {Silhouette July Promotion and Giveaway}

I’m a crafty girl wannabe. I have been that person who has an arsenal of scrapbook supplies, but never scrapbooks. I have paint brushes and ribbon and buttons and mason jars and whatever the hot new crafty thing is. The problem is that I don’t make time to be crafty and I really don’t have the craftiest skill set out there.

That is why I LOVE the Silhouette Cameo and Portrait and their Designer Edition Software! Although I’ve discovered there is a learning curve to using it (my hopeful first project with it was a bit too ambitious) I’m excited at how easy these products are to use…and they make this crafty girl wannabe actually seem like she’s a bit crafty!
