Every once in awhile, a company comes along that does things that just make sense. SimpleHuman is that company for me. What they do and the products they create simply make so much sense.

Take their automatic soap dispenser and other sensor technology products… there was a need, and it made perfect sense for them to create a product that fits that need. And I love having those items in my home.. they simplify my life.

Have you ever noticed though that sometimes you don’t even realize there is a need for something until you have the product in hand and you realize it meets a need you didn’t even knew mattered? SimpleHuman has some of those products that meet needs I have that I didn’t know mattered before, but now realize they totally do. Have I confused you? 🙂

Simplify Saturday – SimpleHuman

Today I’d like to introduce you to a new feature on Dine & Dish…Simplify Saturday! On Simplify Saturday, I will feature something that is simplifying my life… it could be a product, an app, a book, a website…anything that I come across that is helping me to live my 2013 focus word of “Simplify”.

Today, I’d like to introduce you to the SimpleHuman brand. If there is a brand out there that is focused on simplifying life at home, SimpleHuman is that brand.

When I was approached by SimpleHuman to partner with them on some of the work they are doing as a brand, I jumped on the chance. We’ve had SimpleHuman products in our house for several years now, so this relationship fit in seamlessly with our family.

SimpleHuman is a company who believes that everyday life has room for improvement. Tools like their sensor and step trashcans, their senor soap pumps, and other various products for the kitchen and bath, were all created out of a need for a more efficient product.

Recipe: Bacon & Egg Cups

I grew up in a town with a population of a whoppin’ 1,000 residents. As children, we would walk the streets freely after dark without our parents worrying about us being harmed. My friends and I would sit up on the curb of the local convenience store or on the bench outside of the post office, drinking our Coca-Cola’s and hanging out. If you forgot your wallet at home and had a cart full of groceries at the store, you could put it on your tab and pay when you got around to it. Everyone knew everyone and you wouldn’t dare do something against the rules or you could bet your mom would be getting a call from someone who spotted you. As a kid, you couldn’t get away with causing too much trouble. Small town living was great, but I always dreamed of the day when I would be unleashed to the big city. …
