I should’ve read the comments before I began this today. I too was endeared with the Monster book and the yummy recipe! But 3 Tbsp peanut butter and no flour does not a cookie make. Mine fell apart and didn’t taste too good. I think the recipe was misprinted? Will try again soon when I re-buy all of the ingredients and adjust accordingly.

I grew up making a recipe very similar to this (though I think it called for 3 cups or pounds of PB instead of TBSP). We’d mix the dough up in the baby bathtub.

That book was my little brother’s favorite. I have memories of my grandparents reading it to him. We recently introduced it to his 1-year-old twin boys…I think we enjoyed it more than that did 🙂

never heard of that book, but sounds like a must have for any household with children. it is unusual for us to have kids in our apt but we had a 3yo over the weekend and the best book i could find for her was “The Blue Day Book”. at least it had lots of animal pictures.
