Lemon Basil Bruschetta

Try this simple Lemon Basil Bruschetta for a fresh tasting, delicious appetizer.

  • 1 Bakery Fresh French Loaf sliced into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic smashed
  • 1 cup goat cheese crumbled
  • 1 bunch purple or green basil torn into small pieces
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup pure honey


  1. Brush each slice of bread with olive oil and then rub with smashed garlic cloves.
  2. Place under the preheated broiler in your oven for 3 minutes, or until toasted.
  3. Toss goat cheese and basil in a small bowl. Top each piece of toasted bread with cheese/basil mixture.
  4. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze fresh lemon juice moderately over each piece of bruschetta.
  5. Drizzle each slice with honey. Serve.
