This Spicy Almonds Recipe is so easy and makes the most flavorful salad topper.

Here we are, the first part of December, and in typical Kristen fashion I’m not posting a holiday treat or festive recipe. I suck at this blogging thing sometimes! Reality is, if I have all the festive treats around, I will eat them all. And although Weight Watchers has changed their program to the new Freestyle plan, I’m pretty sure that doesn’t include eating every sugar cookie and cake ball in sight.

So, here I am today, with a Spicy Almonds recipe that is not sweet or festive, but is what I’m eating now and loving. My friend Aggie said she thinks a jar of these would make a great gift. Now that she mentions it, I totally agree. Let’s pretend this is a festive, holiday related post keeping the gifting ability of these spicy almonds in mind. Okay?…

We had just sat down to dinner as a family and this question launched a whole series of other questions from my kids. You know, the new year that starts AFTER the kids are back in school and you can actually focus on getting some of your goals set and things accomplished? I feel like the new year can’t even begin to start until I have everyone back in some kind of normal routine, and heaven knows that doesn’t happen until school is back in session!

Spring Into Lunch with Glad {Recipe: Salted Caramel Almonds}

Amazing lunches have never been my strong suit. Dinner? I can do. Lunch? It’s always been hard for me to create lunches my kids will enjoy and that won’t get thrown out with the trash when lunch is over.

I used to simply do sandwiches for them… I’d add a fruit and some pretzels or crackers and call it good. It was only recently, when my 9 year old started getting in on the lunch making action, that we started to get a little more creative in our lunch time efforts. Here is what my daughter thinks are the keys to making an exciting lunch!
