October 2020 was the BEST reading month ever for me. If you are looking to get out of a reading slump, check out the book reviews below!

2020 hasn’t been my best reading year so far. I’ve been distracted and have had a hard time connecting with a lot of the books I’ve read. I don’t know what changed in October, but it has been the BEST reading month. I absolutely loved each and every book I read and can’t wait to share these reviews with you! I finished the month with 11 books read, all 4 and 5-star reads/listens.

Since the pandemic began, I’ve had such a hard time concentrating on books. I’m reading a lot slower than normal for some reason – I’ve heard this from so many other people so I know I’m not alone! I’m so thankful that in August 2020 I was able to finally really love some books I’ve read. Do you love supporting local, independent bookstores? Then you need to know about buying audiobooks and print books while supporting your local community through Libro.fm.

I get asked all the time about how I am able to read so many books. Usually, my first answer is I don’t watch TV. I couldn’t tell you the last Netflix show I binge-watched or even the last show I watched on TV. Books are my TV.

My second answer is, I usually have three different books going on at the same time. I always have a physical book I’m reading, either one I own or from the library. In addition, I take my e-reader with me everywhere. That way I have a book to read when I’m waiting for appointments or I am in line somewhere. Finally, I listen to a lot of audiobooks. I would say about 50% of the books I “read” are in audiobook format. I listen when I’m getting ready in the morning, anytime I’m in the car alone and when I’m doing things like cooking dinner or cleaning the house. …

2019 has been a year of really great books. I set out with a Goodreads Challenge goal of 85 books and surpassed that by reading 98 books in 2019. Dear friends,

I can’t believe it’s December and I’m just now sharing reviews of the books I read in October. What can I say? I’ve been too busy reading!

This past October I read 8 books from a few different genres. Young adult, historical fiction, personal development, contemporary fiction, mystery/thriller and contemporary fiction. My reviews today have a little something for everyone! I have some more great reviews coming up soon for my books I read in November, but I wanted to make sure my October reads got the attention they deserved.
