Sundae Fridays {Giveaway: Smucker’s Gift Basket}

Do you want to know what I love about ice cream, especially ice cream loaded with toppings, sprinkles and a cherry on top? Ice cream sundaes can turn any day into a special occasion. A scoop of ice cream is special, but a scoop of ice cream loaded with a variety of toppings is even better.

Since the beginning of school a few weeks ago, we have started a tradition of “Sundae Fridays”. As soon as the kids get home from school, we get out the ice cream, all of our toppings, sprinkles, whipped cream, and more and sit down to welcome the weekend with ice cream sundaes. Sometimes friends join in to make the occasion even more fun and sometimes its just us. Either way, the kids love being given the freedom to scoop up their ice cream, load up on toppings, and devour their “Sundae Friday” treat.

Our friends at Smucker’s want to give Dine & Dish readers the chance to create their own traditions using Smucker’s toppings! They have provided a basket full of goodies for one lucky Dine & Dish reader. Included in this giveaway is:

  • 1 set of 4 ice cream dishes from Anthropologie
  • 1 jar of Smucker’s Blueberry Topping
  • 1 jar of Smucker’s Hot Fudge Topping
  • 1 container of Smucker’s Microwavable Hot Caramel Topping
  • 1 can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 Ice cream scoop
  • 1 Smucker’s recipe and coupon book

    This is quite possibly the best giveaway I have EVER entered. I got excited just *reading* this post. Reason being? Ice cream is my absolute favorite dessert–it just feels classic, and homey, and makes me happy.

    My favorite ice cream topping is hot fudge–I love the deep, rich chocolate-y-ness it gives a sundae. And if I’m allowed to add extras, whipped cream and Oreo pieces too. 🙂

    I love vanilla ice cream with green grapes and chocolate sauce!
    It is seriously so amazing! Don’t knock it until you try it!
    I’ve been eating it for over 20 years, and it still taste as good as the day my papa let me experiment with my toppings!

    I like plain chocolate sauce cause I LOOOOVE vanilla ice cream! Then I add either peanuts or broken pretzels!!!! Love the combo of the sweet and salty! XO, Pinky

    Milk! No, I’m not kidding. I love to add a splash of cold milk to my ice cream. It crystalizes some of the ice cream so you have the hard little bits and makes the rest a little more creamy and smooth in your mouth! YUM!

    There’s nothing like good caramel au beurre salé (salted caramel) . I know it’s cliché these days to mention the stuff, but I’ve been hooked since I tried it in Brittany when I was 10.

    may i just say that this is the BEST giveaway to come across on a dreary monday complete with a sore throat? 🙂 my favorite topping(s) are strawberry sauce, caramel and sprinkles. gotta have sprinkles. i have issues with hot fudge so that can go to the hubby 😉

    OMG. I love ice cream, especially topped with caramel sauce. I love it so much, that I have to restrain myself from eating it every night. Your weekly ritual sounds wonderful. Hmmmm, I should think about doing that– even though we are all grownups. Somehow, ice cream brings out the child in us again.

    I love hot fudge! great idea sundae friday! I took the kids to DQ one day after school and it ruined dinner- so now ice cream is only after dinner!
