Picture the Holidays – Express Yourself

  • Facebook
  • Twitter

I’m a little behind on my Picture the Holidays photo prompts, but I am not giving up! The prompt on Day 7 was to Express Yourself.

I went the traditional route with this and did a self portrait – a bed head self portrait at that. When it is cold out it is terribly hard for me to get un-snuggled from my pile of blankets and down comforter and to face the cold world awaiting me. I’d be perfectly content wrapped in down all day long or snuggled under my covers with a good book.

You and me, both! Just bought a book for the weekend, and it’s supposed to be cold here tomorrow morning, so… 🙂

I think your bed and book are calling your name for tomorrow. Enjoy, Jenni!

I’m with you on that! My bedroom is right off of the living room … so I can sometimes sneak back in while the kids are milling around in the morning…. but then I have to get out of bed all over again and that is just rotten … 🙂

You are braver than I. Caught a glimpse of my bedhead when passing a mirror one afternoon (yes, afternoon) after I had spent the day in jammies catching up on household chores. Snapped a pic of the wild style with my phone, but chickened out on sending it to Hubs because I couldn’t be sure he wouldn’t forward it around the world. 🙂 Hope you got to snuggle under the covers for a bit today.

I guess I’m lucky – my hairstyle can essentially be described as bedhead!

Oh, I am right there with ya!!! Tomorrow though we are going to sit by the fire, eat chile, watch football and I will write the Christmas cards. I am looking forward to that. XO, Pinky

Throw in some good flennel sheets (with penguins on them – my personal favorite) and you’re speaking my language!

Anyone ever tried a heated mattress pad? My absolute favorite thing – couldn’t live without it. But it does make it almost impossible to get out of bed in the morning. Luckily I’m a morning person!

Love the photo! I feel the same way on rainy days. (we don’t get a lot of cold or snow down here!)

Love this photo! I’m currently trying to pull myself from my warm snuggly bed… Stuff to do and all, but bed is so much nicer!

I just adore this picture. Maybe thats not the right word… I am intrigued by it. There is something mysterious… something that makes me want to know what you are thinking, where you are, what you are about to do. Its got layers of depth, and that sounds silly even typing it out… but its just really, a really great shot.

I will be first in line to buy your book about Expressive photography as well as Mood photography. I am totally not kidding.
