Strawberry Donuts with Strawberry Glaze are a wonderful way to use up some of those ripe and juicy spring strawberries!

Our very first “no longer in shelter in place activity” was to go strawberry picking! There’s a local farm we love that has a great reservation system in place to keep social distancing possible. We were able to get the first appointment of the day and practically had the entire strawberry patch to ourselves. It was wonderful – but I also maybe got a little too into finally being outside in public and went a little overboard on strawberries. $70 and 20 pounds worth of strawberries later, we were headed home with no idea how in the world we’d use this many berries! Oooops!…

Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Originally published on December 23rd, 2011 (when my babies were so little). I’m re-publishing it today because this recipe is so good and the memories in this post are some of my favorites!

These big, fluffy, homemade cinnamon rolls have been a part of our Christmas morning for years and years.

The dough is made in your bread machine, which makes it super easy!

There are just a couple more days until Christmas! This morning, as I sit by the light of the Christmas tree, with presents wrapped (ahead of time, which NEVER happens) I can’t help but feel so grateful for all of the blessings in my life. Our family is healthy, our friends are plenty, and life is just really, really good right now.

I love Christmas, for a multitude of reasons, but mostly because it is a season full of traditions. I love all of the traditions we have developed around Christmas within my own family, like these homemade cinnamon rolls. The traditions have become so important to my kids as well. Like Nick and I, they look forward to the traditions we’ve created as much as we do. It really warms my heart so much….

These Twice Baked Breakfast Potatoes are a fun and tasty take on breakfast. This recipe is adapted from the wonderful cookbook, Eating in the Middle by Andie Mitchell.

This twice baked breakfast potatoes recipe is all that and a bag of chips. I can’t wait to share! Before I share it with you, let me give you some backstory.

Weight Watchers changing to the the new Freestyle program has me thinking a lot about my friend Andie Mitchell’s cookbook Eating in the Middle. The new Weight Watchers Freestyle program seems to be a lot about practical balance. Those of you who follow Andie know this is exactly what she has been preaching for years. It’s not about elimination and deprivation, it’s about “wholesome eating, most of the time”. I really like that concept and think this cookbook is going to guide me well throughout my journey.

I’ve been cooking from this book since receiving it a year ago. I can’t believe I haven’t shared it on Dine & Dish with you. Now’s the time!
